GCSF performs with Brazilian Voices in their “Jazz Across Cultures” concert series!
“Jazz Across Cultures” highlights the importance of jazz as an international language; building connections and community through live musical experiences. Showcasing the many influences within Jazz and Pop, both in Brazil and in the US, over the past 60 years, this program celebrates the mutual influence of samba and bossa nova and American jazz. With special guests, the Girl Choir of South Florida, our repertoire includes songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gershwin, Milton Nascimento, Cole Porter among others. With Jorge Sosa , piano, Daniel Stable, bass, John Collinge, sax and Ivo de Carvalho, guitar.
