Carol of the Birds
The Girl Choir of South Florida presents an eclectic program of seasonal music. Featuring professionally choreographed dance numbers, holiday classics, music from around the world, and new takes on old favorites!
Did you know that “Carol of the Bells” is originally a Ukrainian New Year’s song? Known in English as “The Little Swallow”, it tells the story of a swallow flying into a household to proclaim the plentiful and bountiful year that the family will have.
Birds play a pivotal role in the holidays just as they do in nature and GCSF is excited to present our program extolling their contribution both. Featuring the famous Catalonian “Song of the Birds,” the French “Carol of the Birds,” and even the satirical “Twelve Days After Christmas” which chronicles humorous ways to deal with the many birds gifted in the traditional carol.
Flock to the Girl Choir of South Florida to enjoy this eclectic program featuring professionally choreographed dance numbers, holiday classics, music from around the world, and new takes on old favorites!
